Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially during times of change or uncertainty. Many individuals come to therapy during times when emotions feel overwhelming or life feels especially hard to navigate. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe being themselves while building skills to better understand and cope with life’s challenges.
I am a Mental Health Counseling Intern who works with children, adolescents, and young adults. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, collaborative, and strengths-based. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand themselves while developing practical coping skills aligned with their values. When working with children as young as 3, I use child-centered play therapy, recognizing play as a child’s natural language and a powerful way to support emotional expression and growth. I also believe that humor can be a meaningful part of the therapeutic process and enjoy incorporating it when appropriate.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. My clinical experience includes working individually with young adults at the University of Tampa and providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in a private practice setting. In addition to my clinical work, I volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for children involved in the dependency court system. That experience deepened my understanding of the importance of providing children with a safe, consistent, and supportive presence during difficult times. Across these roles, I have supported clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity development, academic stress, ADHD, OCD, and major life transitions.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy baking, DIY projects, skincare, watching movies with my husband, and spending time with my four cats. I’m originally from Pennsylvania so I love to travel and explore everything our beautiful city has to offer!
