About Kaleigh Urban
I understand how overwhelming it can feel when emotions seem too big to manage, relationships feel strained, and daily life becomes a constant battle. In therapy, my first goal is to understand you - not just your diagnosis or behaviors, but your experiences, strengths, and hopes. I believe that everyone deserves to feel truly seen and heard. Using a warm, supportive, and collaborative approach, I help my clients build skills, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with themselves and the people who matter most to them. I also love incorporating creative approaches, like art, into sessions when it feels helpful and interesting for my clients.
I’m passionate about helping young people and their families find healing, hope, and connection. I specialize in working with youth who have experienced trauma and individuals who struggle with externalizing behaviors like anger, impulsivity, and acting out. I also have experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and enjoy helping them build on their strengths, navigate challenges, and thrive. I work with children as young as preschool age through young adulthood, tailoring my approach to meet each client where they are in their development and life experiences. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based approach that supports healing after trauma while building resilience and confidence.
I believe that involving parents and caregivers can be a vital part of the healing process. I work closely with families to support understanding, strengthen relationships, and build strategies that empower both the young person and their support system. I am also passionate about creating an affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, where every client feels welcome, respected, and supported.
Outside of the office, you can usually find me doing art, spending time with the people I love, or soaking up the sunshine. I believe that small joys and strong connections are powerful parts of the healing process, both inside and outside the therapy room.
Throughout my training and clinical work, I’ve learned that meaningful change happens when we create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to grow at their own pace. If you feel like we might be a good fit, I would love to connect with you. Please feel free to reach out to learn more or to schedule an appointment!
